Sturdy little legs pumping, you run as fast as you can.
Joyful and free as a bird in flight…chubby little hands fisted,
you holler and wrestle and fight.
He-Man always wins!
Superhero cape in place, you swoop in and save the day.
Tired little body at night, dreams of action! and power! and might!
Over years and time and space, you grow and change…
learning of life and love and pain.
The little body of sturdy legs, now become like tree trunks.
Fists and arms like chunks of stone.
Strong and mighty, just as you played, and dreamed…
He-Man always wins!
Then, a warrior’s heart gentled by love.
First husband, then father…now sturdy little legs come running,
and jump into daddy’s arms.
Three pairs of chubby little fists curl around daddy’s strong fingers.
Trusting little hearts that know Daddy can do anything!
Your own legs walk in God’s love…
your own hands grasp His with confidence.
He-Man always wins.
